Name | Hometown | Currently Reside In?
Erin Reitz (currently transistioning from Connelly) | Rockville, Md | Charleston, SC
Is your work influenced by season or changing weather?
I tend to be more productive in colder weather, because I am inside more and drink more coffee. I’m then prone to sit, read, and sketch.
What’s the best thing you’ve ever gotten in the mail?
A box full of cinnamon rugelah.
What is your favorite holiday tradition (new or old)?
My husband’s family’s home made eggnog…all standing around drinking copious amounts on Christmas eve.
How do you find comfort?
I find comfort in really hot baths. Door closed, lights off, vetiver oil in the water, and a candle flickering. I also find comfort in large bowls of linguine.
Do you have a favorite fall/winter/holiday memory?
I was born on thanksgiving and have this deep inner feeling that I was once a pilgrim.
What is your go-to holiday dish?
My mom would always make a creamy spinach soup for Christmas dinner…as a kid I would eat it out of my child size Peter Rabbit dishes. Just imagining the smell of that soup makes me feel so safe, cozy, and cared for.
