Do you have a secret swimming hole (or favorite)? tell us about it.
This summer will be our first in Beacon and we have heard amazing tales of a ‘secret’ swimming hole near our home. So we are excited to check it out! Otherwise put me in the Ocean and I am happy.

What is your go-to picnic fare?
At the beach it is a PB&J or a burrito. Picnicking in the park calls for a glass of wine and a muffuletta sandwich.

Describe your dream summer ootd (outfit of the day).
My dream ootd ties into my love of the beach. After a day of swimming, sand and sun I love to take a shower and then slip into a simple summer weight dress and walk around barefoot.

Desert Island music?
My husband gifted me a record player for Christmas and I love it! So if I could have the record player on the desert island I’d bring my most recent favorite album by SHARON JONES & THE DAP-KINGS.

What will you be reading this summer vacation?
I read at least three books a month, mainly murder mysteries. My family and I would spend a few weeks each summer at my Grandparents home in Montauk and my Grandmother’s bedroom shelves were stocked with Agatha Christie books and romance novels. I must have re-read all the Christie novels and yes the romance novels too! multiple times during those vacations.

What’s got you on your soapbox lately?
Our President. The back tracking of women’s rights, defunding of the EPA, arts programs and food for school children, the ‘wall’, his consolidation of power…..the list and anger goes on.

Tell us about something you recently learned.
Fireflies don’t exist in California. Read that in a murder mystery based in a California coastal town. Curious though I googled it and learned they do exist West of the Rockies but are rarely seen by humans.

Current obsession?
Shoes for my little boy Lukas. He is just the best and getting close to walking so I am obsessed over shoes! Also dinosaurs on sweatshirts and a dump truck toy at a local toy store for him.

Who is your art crush?
The Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston makes me sigh with delight just thinking of it. There are so many artists I love from photographers like Robert Frank and Guy Bourdin to painters such as Monet to Frida Kahlo, but thinking of the Gardner the painting ‘El Jaleo’ by John Singer Sargent just takes my breath away.
