Do you have a secret swimming hole (or favorite)? tell us about it.
Crystal Lake, Michigan — It is my favorite place to swim, the water is crystal clear and there are a couple of sand bars that are about 3-4′ deep a little ways off the shore where you can anchor your boat and be alone and walking and swimming above a smooth sandy lake floor.

What is your go-to picnic fare?
A bunch of different salads… I like to make a red potato, mint and pea salad – and arugula, fennel pine nut and parmesan salad and of course tomato mozzarella and basil.

Describe your dream summer ootd (outfit of the day).
On a summer day when I am not working…A thin and easy to throw on shift dress- My favorite one right now I found at a thrift store in PA while on the road and it was so easy to throw on over a bathing suit or wear out to dinner that I am remaking it in other fabrics.

Desert Island music?
I’ll fashion myself an antenna and tune in to the nearest local radio station.

What reading material clutters your nightstand?
The stack is tall and ever growing but first on the list is to finish “The Memory Palace” by Mira Bartok.

What’s got you on your soapbox lately?
People who still don’t know how to recycle and compost.

Tell us about something you recently learned.
I just took a tour of the SF sewage treatment plant and learned how waste water is processed.

Current obsession?
Collecting vintage fabrics, lots of gingham and small floral prints.

Who is your art crush?
Martino Gamper.
